The Phlebotomist is a vital part of an interdisciplinary team and preforms various medical and clerical tasks. Responsibilities include obtaining blood and non-blood specimens for laboratory testing, preforming and screening a variety of tests and reporting results, labeling and verifying specimens, and logging specimens. A successful candidate will also deliver excellent patient service, answer patient questions, act as a resource for patient information and strengthen the relationship between the patient and our entire medical facility.
Requirements:
- Registered Phlebotomist in the state of Louisiana preferred
- Current Louisiana License Phlebotomist Certification or certification within 6 months of employment required
- Current BLS
- Exceptional documentation, written and verbal communication skills
