Job Title: Regional Operations Manager

The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for Branch P&L performance and job site labor efficiency to improve operational systems, processes and policies. This position will require travel to each Ohio branch location and work closely with the President/CEO, Vice Presidents and Branch Managers.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Serve as Regional Operations Manager for fire protection operations overseeing branches in the state of Ohio by traveling to each location when required.

- Assisting with pre-planning of project start-ups through project completion.

- Must be able to plan ahead with an emphasis on establishing relationships by mentoring assigned branch offices.

- Support organization mission, specifically, support improved management reporting, information flow & management, business process & organizational planning.

- Improve operational systems, processes and policies.

- Assist in providing a work environment that engenders positive energy, creativity and teamwork among employee's.

- Complete involvement with big activity, estimates and customer relationship associated with job.

- Play a significant role in employee development, including an initiative geared towards operation excellence.

- Review bids and all aspects to all financial retention payment.

- Supervise completion of final punch list for final project completion.

- Accurately define project requirements and planning to meet requirements.

- Track, analyze and report operational data on a regular basis.

- Stay current on industry knowledge.

- Work with VP of Sprinkler Operations and VP of Inspection & Service to evaluate branch contract operations and associate service inspection performance.

- Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

- Ensure all cost estimates submitted are as accurate as possible.

- Provide liaison support to CEO/President, VP of Sprinkler Operations, Project Managers, and external client interface support.

Qualifications:

Education / Work Experience:

- High School Diploma or GED is required.

- Bachelor's Degree or demonstrate fire protection experience is required.

- 5+ years' experience in fire protection is required.

- Union background is a plus.

- Previous project management experience is a plus.

- Ability to travel throughout the state of Ohio to other branch locations is required.

- Strong knowledge of estimating is required.

- Strong knowledge of financials and P&L is required.

- Ability to review bids and layout jobs is required.

- Demonstrating strong decision-making skills is required.

- Ability to read and understand construction documents is required.

- Ability to read and understand blueprints and fire protection plans is required.

- Ability to understand proper processes for submitting & acquiring documents is required.

- Strong math skills are required.

- Strong mechanical aptitude is required.

- Knowledge of NFPA required.

- Strong time management and detail orientation skills are required.

- Demonstrate leadership and vision in management staff groups is required.

- Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get job done is required.

Computer Skills:

Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Word, and particularly Excel) is required.
