Job Summary


The Metropolitan Center is currently seeking a student ot join their team of professionals. The student will join Miami's leading think tank as a Creative Intern. Get the opportunity of taking part in creating their first promotional video to celebrate their 20 years in business.
- Work closely with some of the center's leading experts who are shaping South Florida.
- Short Metro Center Promo Video (will be explained during interview).
- 20 Year celebration video: following up with former Met Center Staff to find out \\"Where they are now\\".
- Make shorter videos for social media (Instagram).
- Attend events to film & video.
- Graphic design work: update logo with 20 year banner.

Desired Qualifications


- Experience with scripting, lighting and audio.
- Knowledge of social media platforms.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Video applications,
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
- Good understanding of office management and marketing principles.
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach.
- Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software and online applications.
Requirements
- Applicants should have a strong interest in community issues, experience in video production, and the ability to use creative video skills, technical expertise and unique ideas to deliver compelling visuals.
- The applicant will have networking opportunities when attending various events to shoot video and photographs throughout South Florida.
- Associate degree or Bachelor degree in an appropriate area of specialization.

Who May Apply


Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Upon graduating, FWS employment must end.

Work Schedule


Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of the department.
