Risk Mgmt Service Delivery, Director - Risk and Compliance

Risk functions and systems are impacted by projects and large cross functional initiatives that are managed in other portfolios. In order to properly understand, manage and be prepared to support those efforts, this role will collaborate w portfolios across the enterprise and identify those cross functional impacts.

Primary areas of responsibility for this role:

  • Work cross functionally with Executive Committee and other Senior Leaders to successfully deliver cross-functional strategic programs.

  • Drive optimal performance as leaders of strategic programs who work with a variety of stakeholders including Global Services, Product, Info Security, Commercial Banking, Marketing, Finance, and other corporate functions. Decisions and outcomes of strategic initiatives will materially impact the organization.

  • Create and develop Risk intake process across the Enterprise to drive change and help the Organization adopt Risk governance.

  • Work cross-functionally with other Risk leaders to stay up to date on initiative progress, risks and interdependencies; resolve dependencies with peers.

  • Build relationships with key leaders across the bank to drive a partnership between the portfolio functions, business functions, operating functions, and those leaders in delivering strategic roadmaps.

  • Engage with the cross functional teams on root causes of issues affecting performance and drive consistency and efficiency.

  • Develop reporting to be shared with Executive Committee and other key stakeholders across the Organization.

  • Critical-thinking, business analysis, and process engineering skills to manage, contribute to, and foresee pitfalls in process-related deliverables

  • Team Leadership - Experienced in assessing team performance and morale, and driving necessary actions to improve both; Able to develop and foster collaborative teamwork and facilitate team dynamics

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 12 years of experience in project & program management, including at least 5-8 years of experience in financial services, FinTech and/or fast-paced technology environments.

    Physical Demands
    The employee must have the ability to use a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, copier/fax machine, scanner and telephone. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Employee must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: reviewing and analyzing information; transcribing; and/or viewing a computer screen. Employee may be required to make quick decisions as to when to escalate or directly address a situation, as well as handle the stress of such situations. The work environment is indoors with a majority of time spent sitting at a desk.
