What does this role look like?

Responsible for performing outbound sales calls, including cold-calling, lead follow-up and sales qualification, to develop a portfolio of buying customers while meeting or exceeding quotas.

Some of your main responsibilities will be:


  • Build relationships with potential new customers.

  • Identify customer requirements and expectations while finding supply chain solutions to capture new business.

  • Generate and penetrate leads to capture new business outside of current customer base through phone call, email, virtual facetime, LinkedIn and other mediums.

  • Maintain a full pipeline of opportunities and target achievable accounts while diligently updating our Salesforce on activities, leads and follow ups.

  • Meet and exceed minimum KPI requirements such as productivity, new revenue growth, gross profit, contribution margin, load counts, multiple supply chain service sells and graduating accounts to need additional support.

  • Challenge status quo with effective solutions and improvements to the achieve departmental sales goals.

  • Utilize customer relationship management tools to track all pertinent account information and sales progress as well as forecast and prioritize to achieve sales goals.

Must-haves:


  • A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or a combination of post-high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.
  • 1 - 3 years prior sales, customer service and/or and logistics experience, including knowledgeable of industry-related issues in transportation and/or supply chain management.

Nice-to-haves:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Office products, including Word, Access, Excel, and customer relationship management tools, such as Salesforce.

Working Conditions
