Ensure timely processing, routing, tracking and reporting of fixed assets. Some support of the Corporate general accounting function is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Daily:
Review fixed asset authorizations and create system records for new assets
Prepare disposals, transfers, & capitalizations in Oracle FA
Prepare and record fixed asset related entries in the general ledger
Provide tags & assign numbers for newly capitalized assets
Monthly & Quarterly Reporting:
Run depreciation expense using system tools
Report construction-in-process detail, capital expenditures & asset disposals
Reconcile fixed asset subledger to the general ledger
Skills/Experience Requirements:
Detail oriented with ability to work with large spreadsheets and to reconcile large amounts of data
Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook
Experience with ERPs, especially Oracle or JDE, is preferred
Knowledge of commonly used accounting/fixed asset concepts, practices, and procedures
Ideal candidate could either have relevant experience to contribute, or be a recent college graduate looking to learn and potentially move to other roles in the future
