Position Overview

As the Sr Administrative Assistant, you will support the Talent Development (TD) leadership team by keeping program documents up-to-date, preparing meeting and training materials, coordinating team efforts, and performing administrative duties as assigned.

District Overview

HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization.

Location

This position is located at 1550 Mike Fahey Street. Connected to Kiewit University, the new Kiewit Plaza will provide a modern, state-of-the art venue in the emerging Builders' District north of downtown Omaha.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day administrative needs including:
    - Coordination of department meetings and events
    - Type notes and create documentation
    - Prepare Monthly reports on budget and other TD activities
    - Arrange travel and handle expense reporting
    - Answer phone and relay messages in a timely manner
    - Support scheduling needs

  • Manage, develop and administrate department SharePoint/communication sites

  • Organize and maintain filing system (electronic and paper files) as needed to support office functions

  • Perform other tasks and duties required for this position.

  • Support overall Talent Development leadership needs

  • Support learners & executives who come to the Talent Development facility as needed

  • Support virtual or other learning platforms

    Qualifications



  • 5+ years of Administrative experience supporting multiple senior managers.

  • Must be organized. This includes time management, being task-orientated, and setting and meeting deadlines.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies

  • Ability to work extended hours as needed

  • Team player with high energy and positive personality

  • Strong ethics that will reflect positively on the company

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish credibility as a strong performer and ability to work effectively with people at all levels of Kiewit

  • A high level of intelligence, analytical problem solving, critical thinking, planning and organizing skills

  • Outgoing and thrives in a fast-paced and changing environment, with the ability to deal with and manage change

  • Enjoys working with all levels of the organization and supporting a variety of needs

  • Good listening skills

  • Strong written, oral, presentation and visual communication skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
