Job Description:
Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer (CTrO), the Director, Strategy and Market Insights will be responsible for leading the development of long-range strategic plans to
improve the company’s competitive position in the market and create shareholder value.
This individual will help support development of the strategic direction for Epiq’s underlying
businesses and assets, as well as provide the senior executive team with strategic insight into various aspects of the Company markets.. This individual will work extensively with Epiq’s executive team, becoming a key contributor in helping the company realize its growth agenda.
This is a broad role with a key focus on strategy. It will include:
Working closely with the CTrO to define, implement and deliver on the strategy for Epiq, including formulating tactics on which sectors and geographies they are interested in, evaluating different industries, geographies and businesses as potential opportunities for business expansion
Establishing and managing a market and competitive intelligence function to drive Epiq’s point of view through the identification of market trends and understanding their implications.
Supporting business leaders in Epiq’s various portfolio companies on development of their strategy; ensuring they align with the greater corporate objectives
A vast majority of time will be spent with companies within the diversified business category but may also work on venture deals
Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:
Top strategy consulting combined with other experience outside of consulting. The ‘other’ experience can be before, during or after consulting
Financial literacy is very helpful but it could have been gained in a wide variety of roles, from banking or investing through to working in the finance function of a corporate
Strong academic profile and excellent ranking and performance track during time in consulting for a major agency
An interest in working across a range of sectors rather than being sector focused
International experience would be preferable
MBA would be an advantage

High energy level and personal robustness
Well-rounded team player with strong relationship and team building skills; able to foster a culture of collaboration
Highly credible presenter and communicator (verbal, prose, PowerPoint) with strong influencing skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
