Role Summary:

The Campaign Management team is seeking a proactive, highly accountable, strategic and experienced data-driven individual to lead day-to-day operations in support of prospect communications for the Medicare Advantage (MA) division of the team. This is a business-facing, strategic, technical and operational position. The person in this role will connect the dots between MA’s prospect communications strategy and the data needed to execute a thorough and multilayered campaign execution solution. This person is expected to partner with marketing and outside agency personnel to build and maintain a systematic, efficient, time-sensitive, flexible and repeatable data process flow. The individual will own the prospect universe data, suppressions and file handoffs between Cigna and third party agencies against a strict timeline with the highest level of precision and data quality. In addition, this person will utilize their deep subject matter expertise in data and campaign management to quickly and accurately answer frequent marketing inquiry requests. The individual will lead deep-dive requirements discussions, ask probing questions to flesh out additional details, provide recommendations, influence continuous process improvements and overall execution strategy, and design solutions to meet changing needs.

Maintain the MA Campaign Management SharePoint site on a daily basis, delegate tasks to junior team member(s), independently develop data flowcharts and lead cross-functional meetings. Overall, the individual will be responsible for leading and performing all aspects of campaign management design, development and execution, including:


  • Requirements and process documentation

  • In-depth data discovery and analysis

  • List management

  • Vendor management

  • Complex SQL query development

  • Campaign development in Unica

  • Test execution

  • Delivery

  • Production support

A successful candidate must be driven, self-motivated and self-sufficient, possess business consultative skills, have strong attention to detail, demonstrate excellent organization skills, exhibit advanced SQL development skills, possess leadership and relationship management skills, and thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment. This individual must be able to manage their independent development responsibilities and coordinate with a wide array of partners to ensure overall execution of the entire process.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with marketing communication owners and third-party agencies on the strategy, design, documentation, data and deployment of intricate prospect communication campaigns

  • Showcase strong business expertise and underlying data knowledge to deliver quick, reliable solutions with utmost precision and data quality

  • Govern the prospect data repository and execute on the universe selection process by building advanced SQL programs against campaign requirements

  • Develop intricate flowcharts in the Unica campaign tool

  • Prioritize and manage a high number of concurrent tasks with a heightened sense of urgency

  • Daily production support

  • Adhere to stringent quality control and testing procedures

  • Ensure team adherence to campaign management best practices, processes, standards and strategy

  • Provide frequent progress updates

  • Support campaign reporting and analytical insights

  • Identify automation opportunities

  • Articulate highly complex concepts to a variety of audiences

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to junior team member(s)

Experience and Education:

This role will typically have a Bachelor’s degree in business or technology or related field and 7 years of consumer marketing experience.

Skills:


  • Advanced SQL development skills

  • Perform complex data analysis

  • In-depth knowledge of relational databases, data structures and design, data management and data warehouses

  • Design robust data flow solutions against communications strategy

  • Develop complex campaign logic using the Unica campaign tool

  • Proven leadership excellence to engage and motivate in a high pressure, high performance culture

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, including the ability to deeply understand and communicate both technical and business information.

  • Strong business acumen

  • Prior consumer marketing experience

  • High regard for confidential and sensitive information

  • Demonstrated experience in consulting with, advising and/or influencing others, including senior leaders

  • Prior vendor management experience

  • Proficiency in project management

  • Superior ability to manage time effectively and meet stringent deadlines
