Job Summary
Provide on-going monitoring of the credit underwriting of the new and renew loan portfolios by administering the process of underwriting review. Build a process to assess the condition and quality of individual credits based on financial, collateral, and documentation analysis. Quantify metrics such as: debt service capacity, leverage, liquidity, collateral coverage, guarantor support, etc. Determine the appropriate risk rating on accounts according to current Lending Policy. Evaluate compliance with regulatory guidelines and ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory specifications. Develop and maintain timely, accurate, and pertinent responses to management of review findings. Must effectively apply policies and procedures to forecast the level of credit risk and credit quality of the line of business. Provide credit review and evaluation on a portfolio level, and make recommendations for potential risk mitigation for performance enhancement.

Job Accountabilities

• Credit review in Ambit Custom Lender and Fundation or other applicable programs. Review credit underwriting of prospective and existing borrowers, particularly in the larger dollar and more complex credits. Ensure appropriate credit underwriting, reliable risk assessment, and credit loss minimization consistent with credit policy.


• Compliance review in Ambit Customer Lender and Fundation or other applicable programs. Maintain general familiarity with compliance laws and regulatory requirements to ensure the effectiveness of department policies, procedures, and initiatives.


• Maintain the integrity of the Loan Policy through ongoing monitoring and reporting of exceptions. May monitor performance relative to portfolio administration through the use of various monthly and quarterly reports. Report results to Commercial UW & Operations Director, Business Segment Leader, Small Business Portfolio Team Lead, or other management as required.


• Help structure coaching and education based on findings.


• General research for internal / external exams and audits.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Business/Accounting/Finance or equivalent Required

• 4-7 years Commercial/Business Credit/Underwriting Required
