What you will do

 


  • Manages the HPT system of the plant to help drive performance goals.

  • Insures effective implementation and ongoing effectiveness of High Performance Teams.

  • Develops group competencies within the teams.

  • Trains the High Performance Teams personnel.

  • Directs the High Performance Team process, interacting with the teams, supervision, managers, star guides and other parties, and plant manager.

  • Manages and disseminates Team Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to help the plant track and achieve goals.

  • Achieves cooperation across the organization and influences, with strong leadership, the behaviors needed for success.


You will assess current state performance of the (HPT) High Performance Team program, identify gaps, visualize and establish a plan to get to the future state, monitor progress and share/acquire best-in-class ideas and systems and at the same time will support and maintain the Johnson Controls Manufacturing System (JCMS).

How you will do it


  • Supports functional managers in the process of empowering the teams to manage the key metrics delegated to them by the functional departments.

  • Supports Production Supervision to monitor the progress of team development plans (Game Plans) to be carried out by Supervisors.

  • Locates/coordinates resources and training programs necessary to make the Supervisors successful with the Game Plans.

  • Tracks action items and ideas to be presented or ideas being evaluated by the Design Team.

  • Maintains/coordinates information on the teams, including: KPI’s, training and Team roles.

  • Communicates the status of the teams through boards, intranet, e mail, forums, etc.

  • Quantifies the achievements of HPWT’s, for recognition and reward activities.

  • Assures the correct implementation of activities oriented to maintain the system in place.

  • Facilitates the integration of new members into the system for both newly hired employees and internal changes to existing Teams.

  • Updates the Team System Manual as required.

  • Assures cooperation at all levels of the plant.

  • Updates to the Leadership Committee on Team status and activities.

  • Assures compliance of the Team member roles determined for the system.

  • Coordinates the development of scorecards and metrics for the high performance team process. Review and recommend changes as necessary to meet plant objectives.

  • Coordinates the formation of high performance teams.

  • Documents high performance team plans.

  • Insures that all leading indicator information is updated for the teams.

  • Insures support information is accurate and timely.

Insures that the monthly results meetings are scheduled and completed.

Participates in the high performance team meetings and insure effectiveness of the meetings, scorecard data, and effective action plans are developed by the teams.

Identifies the top performing teams on monthly and annual basis. Coordinate recognition of teams.

Insures certification process for high performance teams, star points, star guides, and cross functional training are effective.

Prepares and share with management monthly high performance team results and recommendations.

Insures high potential team process is compliant with ISO9001, TS16949, ISO 14001, and all applicable regulations, policies and procedures.

Insures the high performance team concepts are understood and used at all levels of the plant.

What we look for

Required:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, 4-6+ years of industry experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills needed to influence personnel at all levels of the plant

  • Strong leadership and training skills

  • Mental processes oriented to logic, analysis and vision.

  • Structured and systematic.

  • Capable of presenting information to the public, in forums, conferences and visits.

  • Working Conditions: Position requires flexibility in hours to work shift hours to coincide with team meetings as necessary, work in plant environment, with potential for some travel.
