The Hotel Groundskeeper will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the hotel grounds and landscaping on a daily basis in order to achieve and provide a clean, comfortable, presentable and positive guest experience. The Groundskeeper will support general hotel maintenance and grounds keeping functions as directed.
Responsible for clearing all trash, weeds, brush and debris from the hotel grounds.
Responsible for manually watering all plants and flowers located on hotel grounds.
Responsible for weeding, mulching and tree trimming whenever necessary or as directed. (This will require the use of equipment such as sheers, blade saw and other gardening tools.)
Responsible for the maintenance of plant life throughout the hotel.
Cleans hotel grounds and removes litter and trash on a daily and consistent basis.
Responsible for daily upkeep of the property buildings and grounds which includes removing, cleaning and replacement of trash bins.
Responsible for the daily upkeep of the hotel’s trash room.
Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all grounds keeping supplies used as part of the grounds keeper role and ensures they are safe and in good working conditions.
Responsible for cleaning and removing all accumulated debris and trash from the canal located adjacent to hotel’s restaurant.
Responsible for maintaining a clean, clear and presentable third floor deck which includes the organizing of lounge chairs, tables as well as clearing of all trash and debris.
Sweeps or blows all hotel roadside entrances, walkways and hotel back areas.
Performs daily walk-thru of the hotel grounds and identifies, reports as well as addresses areas with immediate grounds keeping needs.
Continually monitors all work areas for safety and sanitation.
Ensures clean and clear sidewalks and driveways as needed in order to maintain a safe environment for all associates and hotel guests.
Responsible for maintaining a clean, clear and presentable pool area which includes the organizing of pool chairs, tables as well as clearing of all trash and debris.
Responsible for pressure cleaning all hotel entrances, pool deck and third floor deck on a weekly basis.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer of the hotel.
Supportive Job Functions:
Work with flexibility during high volume periods and cover shifts when necessary within the department.
Communicate all information related to the property to the Chief Engineer in a timely manner.
Be available and able to give local direction to guests.
Be available and able to give out general hotel knowledge to guest.
Be available and able to assist guests with requests, questions, and problems not engineering related.
Work with the Chief Engineer as well as ensure compliance in all safety related matters.
