What you will do
Leverage your proven test automation experience in a previous start-up environment to join this brand-new organization within Johnson Controls. We are hardworking, open-minded and passionate about crafting phenomenal products and delivering real value for our users.
You will be involved in all stages of digital product development including research, testing, inception, development, execution, analysis of the design usage and engagement.
How you will do it
Review requirements, specifications, user documentation and other project documentation to assure high-quality manual and automated tests are developed.
Convert the current regression test suite into the existing automated test suite to decrease current regression time period.
Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation.
Work with the development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers and maintain an automated daily verification ("smoke") test.
Identify the quality implications of known bugs and the impact of that proposed development changes will have on the testing process.
Ensure proper version control and configuration management.
Maintain as-built system documentation of the product post-deployment.
What we look for
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
7+ years of experience with automated and manual testing
Knowledge and experience with advanced software development practices and Test-Driven Software Development methodologies
Expert in JMeter, Selenium and associated test tools and frameworks
Experience with industry best practices for CI/CD processes
