ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Inspect work in process and finished goods prior to shipment to ensure quality meets company standards.

  • Audit manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with standard work instructions / key process and testing certifications.

  • Track and report discrepancies found in a manner that assists quality improvement in both office and shop.

  • Participate in improvement activities and cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and to reduce rework/errors.

  • Research root cause of internal quality problems, warranty claims, quality events, vendor issues, etc.  Brainstorm solutions with appropriate team to eliminate future occurrences via the corrective action process.  Track progress and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.

  • Identify manufacturing training / certification needs.  Prepare and deliver training / certification.

  • Create and maintain picture work instructions to assist manufacturing in proper build techniques / testing.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Experience reading blue prints. 

  • Solid math skills including general math, dimensions, metric conversion.

  • Knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems. 

  • Experience with sheet metal assembly practices.

  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel and Power Point.

  • Strong problem solving and team building skills. 

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Able to multi-task, be an independent thinker and self-starter.

  • Product knowledge at an advanced level a plus.  Experience in ISO 9001:2008, Six Sigma training and vendor quality management a plus.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 


  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

  • Associates degree or 5+ years of food service equipment manufacturing experience.  HVAC degree preferred.
