The PACCAR Technical Center Mount Vernon office, is looking for an intern in the Powertrain Advanced Diagnostics group. The successful candidate will make technical contributions and help dealer technicians resolve engine performance issues.

Division Information

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Support PACCAR Powertrain Advanced Diagnostics group activities


• Consult with subject matter experts and drive customer problem resolution


• Provide technical guidance to dealer technicians on PACCAR engine and aftertreatment systems


• Analyze data to identify emerging issues and evaluate solution effectiveness


• Effectively communicate with dealers, field service personnel, and system experts

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills required


• Excellent Microsoft Office skills required


• Diesel engine experience preferred


• Problem solving skills


• Ability to thrive in a team environment


• Demonstrated curiosity
  
  

Education

Junior or senior standing towards an Engineering or equivalent degree.
