The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing quality nuclear scans for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will maintain a department that is in compliance with state regulations with the assistance of a consulting Physicist. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works under the direct supervision of the Radiation Safety Officer.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Graduate of an accredited radiologic and/or nuclear medicine technology program.
License/Certifications: Current license from the State of Maine as a Radiologic Technologist. Must be credentialed by either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Experience: Progressive experience and demonstrated technical knowledge in Nuclear Medicine Technology preferred.
