Phlebotomist / Laboratory Assistant

 

PRN Needs: Weekend Coverage on Friday, Saturday & Sunday; All Shifts

 

Location: Medical City Plano Hospital

Phlebotomist / Lab Assistant Job Summary:

 

Under general supervision of the phlebotomy supervisor and/or shift supervisor is responsible for performing phlebotomy skills efficiently and appropriately following the policies and procedures established by the hospital and laboratory department to assure the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times.

 

Phlebotomist / Lab Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• 
  Receptionist duties for the laboratory.
  


• 
  Coordinating laboratory activities.
  


• 
  Responsible for phlebotomy.
  


• 
  Attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours is an essential job function.
  

Qualifications

Phlebotomist / Lab Assistant Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED preferred.


• Phlebotomy certification preferred.


• 1 year or equivalent phlebotomy training program.


• Ability to listen, interact and communicate verbally and in writing.
