Lab Assistant - Specimen Processing at Seattle Children's Hospital in Seattle, Washington

Job Description:

Overview:

Process biological samples for clinical laboratory testing and/or research analysis; use health information systems to coordinate laboratory services; provide results of testing and other information to care teams; faciliate the exchange of samples and information with outside institutions; train new employees; participate in process improvement efforts aimed at improving laboratory and hospital processes.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience: - High school graduate or equivalent and at least one of the following: -At least two (2) years experience in laboratory specimen processing; or - Laboratory-related college courses including Clinical Laboratory Assisant associate degree program or bachelor's degree coursework in Biology, Chemistry, or related fields. Required Credentials: - N/A Preferred: - Bachelor's degree in laboratory-related field (Biology, Chemistry, etc)
