The Rehab Center at TriStar Skyline is Middle Tennessee's only CARF accredited acute inpatient physical rehabilitation program. Our program provides specialized and highly skilled physical rehabilitation services to patients with complex needs.

 

The 41-bed unit is one of Middle Tennessee's largest premier inpatient facilities featuring large, private rooms. Our team of board certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians works with patients and their families every step of the way to get patients back to the quality of life they deserve.

 

Our Rehabilitation Program is designed to help people overcome the effects of a stroke or other debilitating injury or illness. The program combines physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, rehab nursing and neuro-psychology services under the direction of a physiatrist (physical medicine and rehabilitation physician). Education, disease management, diet, home set-up, social and emotional needs and home exercise programs are provided to patients and their families to help them manage their care and perform acts of daily living at home. Medicare and most private insurance plans cover some or all of prescribed rehabilitation services.

Job Summary:

• You will be responsible for organizing and conducting physical therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part. 


• You will be responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice in the provision of the full scope of Physical Therapy services. 


• You will provide the highest quality healthcare with care and compassion, with a vision that is patient oriented, advanced in technology, of the highest quality, and cost effective. 


• You will participate in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. 


• You will maintain cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. 


• You will promote a supportive, team-work oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Skyline Medical Center.

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is Tennessee's first comprehensive stroke center and a national leader in neuroscience. The facility is equipped with 233 beds and offers a full array of acute care services, including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation and emergency services. Qualifications

• BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification required within 90 days of hire date 


• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist from the board of Physical Therapy in Tennessee.


• Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy Program
