ul,p {width:100%;} Piper Sandler is seeking a Sr. Trading Floor Specialist to join their technology team in Minneapolis, MN.
This position directly oversees the technical support of the applications, hardware, market data services and peripheral equipment utilized. This includes but not limited to installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing and upgrading corporate hardware and applications while ensuring optimal performance.
This individual is expected to gain superior knowledge on the applications and services utilized by the business lines and required to provide in depth application support.
This individual is expected to gain superior knowledge on all Business Line applications (specifically our Trading and Sales environment) and will be required to provide in depth application support. It will also be expected that this individual gain knowledge and support the Business Line telephony devices which include, BT Turrets, IPC Turrets, ShoreTel, and mobile devices.
This individual will be expected to provide crisis management for downed services and help to resolve, manage and escalate those downed services via other internal Technology Teams.
This individual will act as a liaison between our Business Line partners, Vendors and internal Technology Department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ability to recognize and resolve application or connectivity trends
Working technical knowledge of current systems software, operating systems, and PC protocols and standards
Hands-on experience with devices such as Lenovo workstations, Laptops, docking stations and peripheral equipment
High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience working with external vendors and contacts to resolve complex issues
Strong understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills are critical
Highly self-motivated and directed
Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
Able to quickly prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Willing to work on-call after-hours, and/or on weekends if needed
Able to learn and backfill our local video conferencing infrastructure and work with our conference services team
Experience working with a remote Technology team and are able to collaborative remotely
Technical knowledge in these areas would be positive

Audio Visual
Unified communications (Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams) and video conferencing
IP Print troubleshooting
VB and or Power Shell scripting skills a plus
Experience working in a trading floor environment including knowledge of trading systems is a plus
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 4 years equivalent work experience
