As a senior leader in Architecture, your quest for innovation happens directly at the intersection of technology and business strategy, leading organizational, operational, and technological change, now and in the future. You need to rock at talking low level technology with engineers, as well as explaining why we do what we do to the business and product leaders. You will have credibility through experience, and be relatable through humility to junior and senior engineers a like. This is not an ivory tower architecture role! This is a real solution architecture role at the cutting edge of global system design and delivery.

You'll be a leader in a collective of passionate and dedicated architects, working across the globe. The team is vocally self-critical and constantly raising the bar on our architecture and engineering standards. You know what good looks like across the entire technology spectrum, from microservice design, event driven architectures, resilient design, security, private cloud deployment, AWS and modern toolchains. We expect our engineers to be rockstars, we expect the same from our architecture leaders!

You'll collaborate with internal teams and business leaders alike, creating strategically sound Target State Architectures that can handle todays needs and be ready for tomorrows needs as well. Of course, you'll also have a stake in hiring, mentoring, setting team priorities, and fostering a client-centric environment where everyone learns and grows.

You'll be able to innovate in collaboration with technologists across JPMorgan Chase & Co.s global technology community, as well as in partnership with some of the most important technology firms in the world.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

Seasoned expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines Mastery of architecture, design, and business processes

Strong background in secure design, PCI a plus

Complete understanding of industry-wide technology strategies and best practices

Expertise in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals

Prior experience in large scale technical delivery

Ability to define solutions that solve large scale complex business problems

Ability to collaborate with the product teams and engineers to understand and develop solutions that meet business requirements while translating strategy and objectives when appropriate.

Ability to lead discussions in a matrix environment focusing on team and organizational success Ability to represent E&A in various forums across the firm

Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
