Material Handler at Quanex Homeshield LLC in Des Moines, Iowa

Job Description:

The Material Handler’s duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Unload trucks as needed. Sign for material and ensure accurate count.  Turn in appropriate paperwork.  Deliver material to appropriate area and put away. 


• Check in material and turn in paperwork.  Check backorder bin and deliver needed material to the line immediately.


• Pull material for daily lists and put away leftover material from completed day. Report shortages to Supervisor.


• Complete unplanned moves in the system daily. All material pulled not on picklist must be documented.


• Maintain and replenish Kan Ban system.


• Performs cycle counts as scheduled or requested.


• Empty dumpsters and gaylords.


• Assists in packaging department when requested.

Must maintain a valid forklift license.
