Performs cleaning functions and stripping, waxing, daily maintains of floors in various areas of the hospital. Maintains these areas in a clean and orderly fashion in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and foremost to provide an environment conducive to patient recovery.  Performs general, routine maintenance and servicing hospital equipment. Responsible for the collection of all trash and linen though out the facility and the Nutfield building.  May assist in snow removal or Housekeeping functions Patient discharging, sweeping and mopping the Kitchen nightly.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

 

Education:   High School or GED preferred.

Experience:   Previous experience is not required; Training provided for qualified candidates

 

Special qualifications:  Requires operation of mechanical equipment such as buffers, auto scrubber, extactor and vacuums. Visual acuity to detail cleanliness. Reasoning ability, as employees must use self-judgment in changing sequence of areas cleaned to meet needs of unit or area.
