We are excited to be hiring and Administrative Assistant to join our Economics, Reimbursement, and Evidence Team! This team is responsible for strategy and execution of reimbursement, health policy, economic evidence, and market access activities in a dynamic set of organizational units within Medtronic's cardiovascular portfolio. In this role, you will serve as an information expert for the area and be the "glue" to keep the team running smoothly. You will offer strong team interaction to assist in team operations and aiding in the development and implementation of systems and processes that support the team. You may interact with high-level contacts such as senior leadership, physicians, and hospital customers. The role will be exposed to sensitive/confidential information requiring considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Provide general administrative support including preparing communications, maintaining calendars, meeting and conference coordination, ordering supplies, travel coordination (domestic and international), physician/vendor contracting, and submitting expenses for Director-level employees.
  • Perform a wide variety of non-routine administrative tasks and may support special projects or assignments.
  • Coordinate candidate interviews and meetings of interview teams.
  • Manage New Hire on-boarding process, including project manage any needs for new hires including new computer and mobile device ordering, setting up cube and facility needs, scheduling on-boarding meetings as needed per the hiring manager, and any other needs
  • Create meeting minutes, manage agendas, and track actions as needed.
  • Ensure computers, iPads, and mobile phones are ordered and/or updated for the team as needed.
  • Partner with Executive Assistant on coordination and communication of workspace moves.
  • Work to deliver day-to-day objectives with significant impact on achieving results.
  • Use problem solving skills for process improvement in systems and processes.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • Medtronic Administrative experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite application, including Outlook and video/audio conferencing software
  • Previous experience supporting multiple leaders with complex calendar and travel requirements
  • Event/large group meeting planning experience
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Proven experience with online meeting management including Zoom
  • Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Self-starter, resourceful and curious attitude regarding self-learning and problem solving
  • Advanced interpersonal skills to collaborate with executives and other assistants
