The Clinical District Manager (CDM) is responsible for managing the district clinical employees in order to achieve and exceed patient outcomes and sales plans within specified budget. The CDM will also recruit, hire, develop, and retain the clinical team. The CDM provides input to the District Sales Manager regarding clinical strategies and plans. The Clinical District Manager develops clinical goals and objectives for each territory on a fiscal, quarterly, and monthly basis, which achieve and exceed sales performance.
This is a remote field based role that requires frequent travel within the Ohio Valley District. Candidates must reside in close proximity to Indianapolis, Dayton, and/or Cincinnati.

A DAY IN THE LIFE :
Communicate overall corporate strategy and clinical direction to the district Clinical Territory Managers (CTMs).
Coach and develop clinical team through the utilization of field visits (3 full days in the field per week/ spending 3 days per quarter with each CTM/ a minimum of 12 days a year with each CTM), individual or group meetings, and telephone contacts.-Ensure alignment across the district on diabetes knowledge, competencies, and the preferred way of on-boarding patients and following up to drive patient retention and success on our therapies.
Serve as liaison between field clinical and sales teams.
Act as key change agent and driver of all clinical change initiatives.
Direct and motivate employees to advocate for therapy by developing HCPs, managing CPTs, improving patient outcomes, and performing group trainings.
Lead and help manage CTMs for clinical competencies related to the diabetes disease state and provide guidance to CTMs on improving in areas of clinical need.
Oversee the professional development of the clinical team through continued education and by maintaining clinical practice skill level, CDE status, and CEU requirements to satisfy renewal requirements for licensure.
Provide clinical updates with entire district to enhance clinical and sales understanding of current and new products.
Partner with field sales District Managers to promote teamwork, effectiveness, and efficiencies.
Collaborate with the CTM Project Manager and the Sales Leadership Team to help shape the overall strategy for the clinical team, participate in key change initiatives, and drive sharing of best practices across the nation.
Identify opportunities for improved clinical performance and execution using Excel, Compass, and other available data and resources to establish critical clinical objectives for the month, quarter, and year. Coordinate, develop, and implement strategies to achieve short and long-term business objectives especially related to AOP, patient retention, CPT management, and CTM development.
Provide guidance to CTMs regarding the management of assets, expenses, CPT budget, and territory budget.
Maintain knowledge of insulin products and emerging technologies and their impact on our products.

Required Certification(s): A valid registered license in one or more of the following fields:
Registered Nurse (RN)
Registered Dietitian (RD)
Physicians Assistant (PA)
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant field clinical experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
NICE TO HAVE
2 years of previous experience in a management role having direct reports or a minimum of 3 years as an internal Medtronic Diabetes CTM
Previous experience managing employees in a healthcare organization
Comprehensive knowledge of the diabetes disease state and experience training/educating patients on Medtronic products and technologies
Outstanding product knowledge and technical skills in operation of Medtronic Diabetes products
Participation in management development program and trainings.
Experience as a Sr. CTM or field trainer
Experience with district and local team.
Understanding of AOP, performance, goals, and overall strategic plan for top HCP accounts.
Experience driving therapy adoption with new HCPs, expanding indications with current strategic HCPs, improving patient adherence and retention, and driving DCM adoption of group trainings.
Experience training/educating patients
Experience with finding a location, set-up, and execution of successful group trainings
Previous experience with implementing a change initiative
Demonstrated knowledge of scope of practice applicable to level of professional licensure
Demonstrated success in a team lead/ supervisory/ leadership role, including serving as a mentor/ coach
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with Healthcare Providers
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and remain agile with the business needs.
Excellent organizational skills.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to work well with clinical and sales people
Excellent presentation skills.
Member of previous Presidents Club/ Sales award team.
