Five or more years’ experience in Storage Administration
Gather requirements, design, and implement storage solutions in a VMware, Linux, AWS, Azure and Windows environment (disk layout, RAID levels, etc.) to ensure optimum storage performance and data availability
Perform capacity planning and assist with storage forecasting
Conduct advanced problem diagnosis and resolution, system monitoring, error reporting, and system maintenance including creation and maintenance of system documentation and diagrams
Analyze performance statistics and when necessary provide tuning recommendations
Experience with Storage Automation and Configuration Management concepts and techniques
Assist in setting standards for hardware and software purchases and provide senior level installation and configuration of new hardware and software
Upgrade system software and hardware components as required to meet business needs
In-depth experience with Fiber Channel based networks as well as NAS / DAS / ISCSI
Work off hours to perform maintenance activities, system upgrades and data migrations
Strong organization skills to lead complex projects, prioritize work and ensure deliverable dates are met
Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel and team members
Good leadership skills to mentor the work of and provide support for less experienced personnel
Participate in on-call rotation
