Correspondence Configurator at Cigna in Memphis, Tennessee

Job Description:

General Purpose:

This role supports the TH&N business controls area with ongoing correspondence maintenance configuration in the SmartCommunications application. The correspondence configurator will work closely with Clinical Correspondence teammates to implement and maintain correspondence to meet business and compliance requirements. This position understands and evaluates UM/CM correspondence operational processes and configures correspondence templates in the most efficient manner. The Correspondence Configurator will be the point of contact for SmartCommunications correspondence configuration questions. This position will also conduct configuration tests and make updates as needed. The primary focus will be correspondence supporting the TruCare application, but will also assist with CHC ICMS correspondence maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities:

Scope of responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Create new, efficient correspondence, as well as maintain existing correspondence in the SmartCommunications application

  • Work closely with IT and vendor partners to update/implement correspondence changes according to deliverable dates

  • Obtain SmartCommunications training as needed

  • Maintain team documents that support correspondence configuration direction

  • Conduct audits/tests to ensure configuration is correct

  • Serve as point of contact for SmartCommunications related questions

  • Maintain working knowledge of current expected correspondence outcomes and upcoming correspondence changes

  • Assist with creation of client appendices and letter samples

  • Troubleshoot to resolve TH&N customer communication functionality and quality assurance concerns

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years' experience in Healthcare Operations environment required

  • Basic programming skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet timelines

  • Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization, to include verbal and written communications as well as visualizations

  • Flexibility to change course based on business needs; effectively manage and deal with change

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others

  • Ability to identify and clarify issues or risks related to UM/CM correspondence rules and escalates when necessary.

  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel)

  • Knowledge of industry terms and Cigna products

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
