The Director Human Resources reports to the Vice President Human Resources and is responsible for Employee Relations, Total Rewards, payroll support, compliance and employee engagement activities.
The successful candidate with have extensive experience in employee relations, working in a multi-state, centralized HR organization. Being “hands-on” and “strategic”, at the same time, are attributes which describe this HR Generalist.
You will work closely with supervisors, managers and executives to advise, counsel, and provide coaching and resolution to address employee performance issues.
You will part of an HR Team of functional professionals in the key areas of Corporate Safety and Talent Acquisition

You will be a change-agent and enjoy “thinking-outside-the-box”; this is not a ‘maintenance’ position.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or university preferred; 10+ years related experience and/or training in Human Resource management function. Previous experience supporting a workforce of at least 500 employees.
Experience working in the Supply Chain or Logistics industry preferred, but not required
Compensation experience along with experience with Salary.com, Payscale and related compensation tools
CERTIFICATION Prefer SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification
