BOS Medical is looking for Admissions Registered Nurses in the Coweta County area. The Admissions Registered Nurse assesses individuals that come to the walk-in clinic for possible admission to the adult treatment program.
Responsibilities ( will include but not be limited to the following ):
Complete a work-up on individuals that come through the walk-in center for treatment to obtain the history of medical, social, and/or emotional background and enters into the newly created electronic patient record
Takes the individuals temperature, blood pressure, and other vitals to enter into the patient' s chart
Interviews any family members, as appropriate, to obtain the history of medical, social, and/or emotional background
Present and discuss patient assessment information with attending physician team member(s)
If the decision is made to admit an individual for treatment, the Admissions RN works with the Floor/Unit RN to get a room/bed ready and setup initial treatment protocols as ordered by the physician team member
Works with other walk-in center and unit staff to ensure regular disinfecting and cleaning is completed per established safety protocols
Adheres to universal precautions in all situations to prevent the spread of infection
Actively participates in departmental staff meetings as required to discuss needs, goals, objectives, and outcomes of services, quality assurance, infection control, etc.
Must be willing to cross train as a Floor/Unit RN to understand and learn the full-cycle treatment process
Requirements:
Full licensure as RN in the state of Georgia (or eNLC).
Must pass criminal background fingerprint checks including an FBI Criminal History Check and Pre-employment drug screen.
Must possess current CPR Certification
