If you are a Human Resources professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson Commercial and Residential Solutions in Sidney, OH has a new and exciting opportunity for you! As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will collaborate with employees, Cold Chain Business Unit leadership and shared service HR functions to support various Human Resources processes. You will partner with the HR Vice President to align Emerson People Strategy initiatives with Cold Chain BU priorities to ensure excellent execution in hiring, on-boarding, developing and retaining employees.




AS A HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER, YOU WILL: 


  • Coach and counsel employees and supervisors/managers in the interpretation and application of HR and organizational policies and procedures, assuring fairness and consistency.

  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance (coaching, counseling, career development, corrective action) to employees of all levels of the Cold Chain organization.

  • Consult with and advise hiring managers on talent needs, managing expectations and collaborating with Talent Acquisition team to utilize standard processes. Participate on interview teams as requested by hiring managers.

  • Participate in employee on-boarding and exit processes.

  • Support Talent Review sessions and help ensure full utilization of development plans, cross-referencing internal and external training and development opportunities.

  • Support Sidney site-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives and activities.

  • Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations of employee relations concerns and/or ethics issues.

  • Work with Cold Chain BU leadership to develop, monitor and execute employee learning plans to ensure Emerson required training, OSHA required training and other established Cold Chain BU expectations are met.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to include HR metrics/reporting, data analysis, preparation for leadership meetings, support of employee relations activities, special projects and other developmental activities.

  • Travel to and participate in community outreach activities, recruiting events, plant location reviews and Emerson HR meetings.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:





  • Bachelors degree required plus a minimum of 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Required knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements

  • Proven positive customer service and employee relations skills in order to facilitate daily interaction with internal customers

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders, internal customers and the community

  • Outstanding organizational skills

  • Possesses a can-do attitude and shows persistence despite obstacles and set backs

  • Ability to produce quality results in a highly matrixed, fast paced environment

  • Maintains composure and effectiveness in stressful situations

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems

  • Open to relocation in the future for career advancement at Emerson

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  



  • Prefer Emerson HR experience

  • 3-5 plus years experience in Human Resources

  • HRCI or SHRM certification preferred

  • Demonstrated facilitation and training skills

  • Experience in an industrial/manufacturing multi-location, global company

Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
