Health Care Marketing Strategy Intern

The internship position is a temporary position within 3M. Interns typically work a full-time schedule of 40 hours a week throughout a 10-14-week assignment starting in May of 2021.

As a Marketing Strategy Intern, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading a strategic marketing initiative to accelerate business growth with a focus on increasing market share in a competitive market space.


• Obtaining and combining customer and industry insights with business intelligence to develop strategic recommendations.


• Collaborating closely with experienced marketing, sales, and business leaders to consider various perspectives and maximize project impact.


• Effectively communicating a tactical implementation plan to business and marketing leadership.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration degree or higher with an emphasis in Marketing or Strategy from an accredited institution


• Completed the first two semesters of the MBA program by the start of the assignment (Anticipated graduation of 2022)


• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel


• Three (3) years of professional work experience

• Self-starter and independently motivated but strong collaborator


• Strong business acumen, with particular understanding of marketing principles

• Demonstrated strategic/critical thinking ability


• Professional marketing experience


• Health care and/or health care IT experience preferred

Location: Internships will be based remotely.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B, Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Optional Practical Training (OPT))
