Client Support Services Intern

Collaborate with Innovative 3Mers Around the World

The internship position is a temporary position within 3M. Interns typically work a full-time schedule of 40 hours a week throughout a 10-14-week assignment starting in May of 2021.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Client Support Service Intern, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Leads focused improvement efforts to provide quality metrics and performance measurement for the Client Support Services

  • Implements new processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall Client Support Services function

  • Recommends innovative courses of action to Client Support Services to address performance gaps

  • Provides meaningful input regarding the health of Client Support Services to the management through analysis, reporting, or other performance metrics and dashboards

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for interns who must have the following qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology or related field from an accredited institution

  • Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

  • Completed a minimum of junior year (6 semesters) by the start of the assignment

  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills

  • Proficiently skilled with Microsoft Word and Excel.  Experience with SQL queries and Power BI is a plus

Location: Internships will be based remotely.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B, Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Optional Practical Training (OPT))
