Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Content Coordinator to join our Marketing team in Waynesboro, VA.

This position is responsible for developing compelling content for print, digital, and social media platforms. Duties include, but are not limited to:  writing original copy for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials including social media, blog, emails, newsletter, press releases, and web; developing a solid understanding of DCCU’s brand voice and maintain that brand voice across all materials; continually brainstorm new ideas and strategies for effective content; leading social media efforts for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn; monitoring conversations across all platforms, and responding as appropriate based on corporate guidelines; and cultivating relationships with local news media and credit union trade publications to increase awareness.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing capabilities as well as a broad knowledge of platforms, trends, and tools necessary to support a successful corporate social media strategy. They will also have demonstrated content creation and copywriting skills, excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.  The willingness to learn and be able to flourish in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is a must. A minimum of three years’ experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field is preferred.
