The Design and Architectural Support will provide support by assisting the U.S. Government in the enforcement of design standards, development of facility strategies and reviews of designs for Border Patrol and Air & Marine Operations facilities during the planning, design, and construction phases to ensure standards are followed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and participate in the preparation of field drawings and diagrammatic sketches to be provided to designers for incorporation into new or revised plans and specification for the projects
• Possess knowledge of the Government, state, and local regulations, codes, directives
• Ensure standards are met.
• Perform and participate in the review portfolio planning including facility assessments, alternative analysis, and cost estimates
• Review design plans or work with designers to make sure the Government, state, and local regulations, codes, directives and standards are met.
• Assist in the enforcement of design standards, development of facility strategies and reviews of designs for Border Patrol and Air & Marine Operations facilities during the project planning, design, and construction phases
• Participate in the preparation of field drawings and diagrammatic sketches to be provided to designers for incorporation into new or revised plans and specification for the projects
• Participate in Site Visits and Quality Assurance visits

• This position will not have supervisory or management authority

• Bachelor of Science Degree; preferably in a related field is required
• At a minimum eight (8) years of related preferably in a federal setting

• Utilizing and applying computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to obtain a Clearance or Common Access Card (CAC)
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and federal background check

• This position is primarily performed in a secured federal office setting, a controlled office environment as well as working outside in a job site environment.
