Position Overview

Reporting to the Billing Lead, the Asphalt Billing Specialist performs a wide variety of clerical responsibilities with billing and sales administration. 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


  • Validate customer sales orders and create associated invoices

  • Verify and process point of sale tickets on a daily basis

  • Process daily and weekly customer invoices

  • Work with sales, customers, and operations to resolve customer invoice issues

  • Provides customer with appropriate product and project documentation

  • Work with field operations team to improve customer service

  • Special projects as assigned

  • Other routine office duties as needed or requested

  • Occasional backup receptionist

  • Research and resolve short payments

  • Sales tax reporting

Additional Responsibilities


  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.

  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual.

  • Strict adherence to Dolomite policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual.

  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience


  • 1-2 years billing experience.

  • Associates Degree preferred not required.

  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office programs (word, excel, outlook)

  • Excellent phone manners and communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance a variety of job duties simultaneously.

  • The initiative to cross train and learn new tasks as assigned

  • Good attendance and positive attitude a must.

  • Dependable and timely

Work Requirements

Ability to communicate sufficiently to be able to convey and exchange ideas, and to give and receive detailed verbal instructions.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements


  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Basic Accounting knowledge is preferable, but not required.

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
