Planner, Supply Chain Management



Cleveland Cliffs is looking to hire a Planner within Supply Chain for the Coatesville, PA office. The planner is responsible for the allocation and delivery of steel products based on customer demands and will have excellent communication and team working skills to ensure the proficiency of the department.

Job Responsibilities

 

• Assign already produced and unassigned steel in inventory to customer orders


• Ensure that customer orders begin production on time to meet customer delivery dates


• Review just produced steel and get it loaded into inventory


• Manage value-added projects involving cost, capacity, asset utilization, and improved cycle time


• Resolve expediting or scheduling issues for operating areas and logistics


• Provide logistics support and analysis


• Develop and manage key supply chain performance metrics


• Assist in developing tools that facilitate process improvements within the organization.


• Perform data gathering activities for the purpose of developing ad hoc reports to management.


• Must build cooperative working relationships with various other departments throughout the plant(s)


• Other duties as assigned

• Work experience in manufacturing or related field


• Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills, troubleshooting and strategic thinking to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on data


• Ability to work well within a team environment to achieve a common goal


• Effective written and verbal communication skills to achieve desired results  

• Bachelor’s Degree in business related field


• 2 years’ experience in supply chain management


• Steel industry experience


• Exposure to a legacy mainframe system
