Title: Program Manager III - Infrastructure


Location: Peterson Air Force Base (PAFB)


ProgramDivision Action Group: Division Action Group (DAG) personnel to provide the Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division a wide variety of services ranging from Group Commander and Senior Staff support, operations management support, development of strategic and tactical initiatives, personnel training, and public affairs


Job Responsibilities:


Duties include, but not limited to: 


 Apply comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force.



  • Apply knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of acquisition programs.

  • Recommend viable solutions to problems and the pursuit of alternative courses of action.

  • Be highly effective in communicating verbally and in written communications, including the development of talking papers and white papers on behalf of the Group Commander (ghost-writing).

  • Ability to quickly analyze a wide-range of survey results, industry and military organizational studies and papers, and provide meaningful observations and applicable recommendations to Group Commander and Senior staff

  • Ability to coordinate staff packages including, but not limited to, public affairs products.

  • Ability to support Front Office Group-level administrative duties.

  • Ability to manage internal and external taskers, as well as special projects assigned by the Group Commander, from cradle-to-grave.

  • Ability to interact effectively, provide advice, and assist the Group Commander and Senior Staff on strategic initiatives

  • Ability to provide strategic and tactical support to Product Branches (squadrons) and Functional Branches

  • Ability to manage Air Force databases including the Managers Internal Control Toolset

  • Support Senior Management Forums; coordinate, plan, and facilitate senior level meeting/reviews and stakeholder meetings with MAJCOM and COCOM partners.

  • Develop and execute training programs Division-wide.  This includes newcomers orientation, website training, one-on-one training, and possess the ability to train groups of 50+ personnel

  • Support implementation and execution of Agile concepts and processes (not software related) in concert with Government and Prime contractors.

  • Demonstrate examples of forming, measuring, and achieving Objectives and Key Results.


Qualifications:



  • Valid DOD Secret clearance

  • US Citizenship

  • Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in Air Force acquisitions.

  • Possess at least two-years of experience at MAJCOM level

  • Possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline.

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise.

  • Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD OR, BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD OR, 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD
