We have an exciting opportunity for a System Engineer with a focus on Office 365 and Active Directory to join our Core Infrastructure Services team. This role will report to the Nashville, TN Headquarters office but is eligible for remote work.


The System Engineer will be part of an experienced team of Systems and Infrastructure Engineers who are responsible for securing, maintaining and monitoring the health of the server environment throughout the enterprise.  The position is part of the Authentication and Communication team and supports the infrastructure systems necessary to connect, authenticate, and communicate on the Ardent Health enterprise network.  This includes administering a hybrid on premise / cloud environment of Active Directory and M365 Exchange, system monitoring, resolving 2nd/3rd level incidents, analyzing data to recognize trends and creating automated proactive measures to prevent application downtime.  This position will work closely with other members of the Ardent Information Technology team to support the overall mission of the company and its long-term strategic business initiatives.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide mid-level incident support for servers, storage systems and infrastructure services.

  • Manage mailboxes and analyze mail flow data to recognize trends and create proactive solutions to prevent recurring issues.

  • Assist with the implementation of new technologies and verify that all procedural documentation is accurate, and that knowledge transfer from the engineering team is completed prior to any technology being placed in the Production environment.

  • Provide support for Intune’s Mobile Device Management platform to create profiles and device assignment.

  • Act as a contributor to enterprise-level strategic projects, meeting milestone deadlines, and accomplishing project action items.

  • Ensure that proper operating procedures are adhered to during the full lifecycle of all servers throughout the enterprise including documentation, server builds, server maintenance, monitoring, support, refresh/upgrades, and decommission.

  • Administer ServiceNow data within change, problem management and request systems and properly escalate issues to management. Through escalations, this role may serve as a point of contact for interactions with vendors on issue resolution.

  • Maintain operations of enterprise shared services and assist application teams as needed.



QUALIFICATIONS

 

1 – 3 Years Supporting Exchange/O365 in Production Enterprise Environment


  • Managing Mailboxes & Mail Flow

  • Exchange PowerShell

  • Troubleshooting Mail Flow issues

1 – 3 Years Supporting Active Directory


  • Managing User / Group / Machine Objects

  • Building OU Structures

  • Troubleshooting GPO Application

 

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT concentration OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 4+ years of professional experience in information technology.

  • Experience in Health Care IT.

  • Mid-level knowledge of Microsoft 2008R2-2019 Server.

  • Mid-level knowledge of core infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, IIS, AD group policies, Exchange, File Services, etc.).

  • Mid-level knowledge supporting and administering enterprise applications such as VMware vCenter and ESXi, XenApp or XenDesktop, Exchange services, Microsoft System Center (SCCM), and Citrix Presentation Server.

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems.

  • Experience with Active Directory Migrations

  • Experience with Multi Domain / Multi Forest Environments

  • Experience with M365 Exchange

  • Experience with Microsoft MFA

  • Experience with Azure Federation Services

  • Experience with Active Directory Federated Services

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune MDM

  • Working knowledge of systems management, scripting and automation.

  • Prior healthcare experience

  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws (HIPAA).

  • MCSE and/or VCP Certification
