Job Description:

The primary goal of the Project Manager is to lead and ensure specific projects related to operational excellence, within Merz strategic areas of focus, Aesthetics and Neuroscience, are implemented efficiently, successfully and within the agreed terms of the project. This requires strong project management skills, ensuring that timelines are established and deliverables are met, collecting data to analyze performance, and reporting on progress. If the project is not being implemented to satisfaction, the project manager must be able to identify issues in a timely manner and work with leadership to correct or elevate as appropriate.

Job Evaluation:


  • Consistently demonstrates exceptional project management skills, leads by influence and practices excellent change management skills.

  • Drives resource planning activities to ensure outstanding quality of services delivered on all projects, and effective support of the organization’s operational policies and procedures. 

  • Participates and contributes as an active member of interdepartmental and cross-functional Project Teams, as assigned, in the execution of plans to meet short, medium and long-term strategic project objectives.

  • Supports all PMO activities to ensure project administration tasks are completed in accordance with guidelines and documentation requirements

  • Prepare and/or edit presentations and tables.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Administration          


  • Develops and maintains documentation, related to operational excellence, inclusive of, but not limited to: agendas, decisions/actions, design control documents, design history files, plans, presentations to governing committees, project charters, status reports, and timelines for assigned projects.

Project/Portfolio Presentations


  • Develops charts, reports, analysis, KPIs, metrics, etc. 

Collaboration and Teamwork


  • Collaborates with multiple departments and leads cross-functional teams to pinpoint root cause issues, and then implements solutions to resolve systemic problems.

Vendor Relationship Management


  • For selected projects, negotiates effectively manages vendors and works diligently to ensure all project deliverables are met in accordance with MNA quality standards, timelines, resources and budget requirements.

Project Lifecycle Management


  • Effectively supports the planning and tracking of multiple projects, resource planning and allocation, and task delegation to accomplish project goals and objectives, ensuring timely resolution of issues, using escalation as necessary, and communicating effectively.

Process Improvements


  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and develops impactful business plans/strategies for implementation, along with measures of success for each proposed improvement.

Requirements:

Education


  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Life Sciences, Information Technology or related concentration

  • Preferred: Professional Project Management related certification (PMP, IPMA, or similar)

Professional Experience


  • Required: 2-4 years project management experience


  • Preferred: 4-6 years biotech/pharma experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, etc.)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Effective Change Management

Preferred:


  • Systems integrations experience

  • SAP/Veeva

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other PM tools

  • Strong presentation skills
