Schedule Days : Monday - Friday 

Position Status: Full Time (40 hrs week) 




Job Summary:



Provide HR support to assigned client business divisions in the areas of employee relations, performance evaluation, salary administration, HR policy and program implementation, employee development, and health and wellness programs under the guidance and direction of the HR Manager. Serve as HR liaison for assigned clients in the areas of Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Recruitment and EEO/Compliance while partnering with HR SME’s (subject matter experts).





Essential Functions:




  1. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.

  2. Provide guidance and assistance to client groups on all aspects of HR.

  3. Resolve day to day employee relations issues; elevating complex issues to HR Manager and/or HR Director.

  4. Provide recommendations for all aspects of performance management (performance, corrective actions, development plans). Responsible for communication and implementation of policies, programs, processes, etc. as identified.

  5. Provide administrative support to HR Managers/Business Partners; serve as back-up for HRBP’s clients.

  6. Lead and/or participate in special projects and task teams at the direction of leadership.

  7. Maintain the highest degree of confidentially concerning employee information, personnel actions, legal actions, terminations, and organizational plans.

  8. Drive change management.

  9. Ensure compliance within client groups for all local, state and federal laws pertaining to the HR function.

  10. Maintain body of knowledge of Human Resources Professionals and participate in continuous learning opportunities.

  11. Work safely at all times.  Adhere to all applicable safety policies.  Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.




Additional Responsibilities:




  1. Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of current HR laws and practices including Federal Contractor requirements under the OFCCP office of the Department of Labor as they apply to the various HR areas and external compliance.

  2. Keep Director & HR Managers apprised of potential problem areas and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate.

  3. Utilize selected technology & processes to ensure efficient and streamlined results and delivery of services.

  4. Participate as member of HR Team and collaborates in Human Resources Department planning and initiatives.

  5. Support benefits, recruiting, and payroll, as needed.

  6. Prepare statistical data analysis and background material for management reports, as requested.

  7. Perform other duties and special requests as needed.

  8. Works within and promotes corporate values.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:




  1. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Federal, and states’ employment laws (supporting client base) and their interpretation.  Includes specific knowledge of legal hiring practices, regulations and organizational policies, ERISA and Department of Labor (including OFCCP) statutes.

  2. Maintain proficiency with the current HRIS/HCM systems.

  3. Maintain a high level of concentration and a consistent work pace in a frequently interrupted environment.

  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities sufficient to explain complex information. 

  5. Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

  6. Ability to analyze data or processes, report findings and make recommendations.

  7. Demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative

  8. Ability to work independently.

  9. Excellent coaching skills. Ability to coach and mentor others

  10. Strong organization skills and attention to detail.  Ability to prioritize and complete tasks on time or notify appropriate person with an alternate plan.

  11. Excellent project management skills.

  12. Ability to travel to site locations and attend learning conferences as identified.

  13. Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.

  14. Ability to maintain consistent attendance.




Education and Experience:




  1. Bachelor’s degree in business/related field or equivalent years of experience.

  2. Minimum of 6 years of human resources experience and 3 years’ experience as an HR Generalist and/or HR Business Partner.

  3. HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.

  4. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English
