Dura-Line is growing and is currently hiring for a highly skilled and driven Process Engineer to join the team at our Elyria, Ohio site. In this role, you will assess manufacturing operations through developing, implementing, monitoring processes, and tooling designs. You will work closely with production to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met. If you have textile manufacturing or weaving experience we want to speak with you!

In this exciting NEW role, you will take the initiative to drive improvements, and optimize operations through the utilization of various continuous improvement and lean tools. You will use your data-driven mindset to analyze and diagnose issues to solve technical challenges. Outstanding verbal and written communication will be imperative to build internal and external relationships, lead and train team members, and verify new processes and procedures are being followed.

You will have the platform to make an impact as we will invest in your development and give you the freedom to identify areas of opportunity and develop & implement solutions. You will need 5+ years of hands-on work experience as a process engineer in a textile manufacturing environment and expertise in the processes and methods including production equipment, troubleshooting, operating system, etc. We need a subject matter expert in developing and managing CAPEX budget and capital projects to add new equipment and/or manage expansions.

We are looking for a data-driven individual with the ability and curiosity to analyze and diagnose process and equipment to solve technical challenges and implement sustainable solutions. Bring your experience in data management, data integrity, and ISO process auditing to help you drive improvements and as we develop standard work, you will play an important role in standardizing, maintaining, and creating work instructions and training guides.

Your expertise in project management will be critical to ensure on-time delivery and implementation of projects such as waste and scrap reduction, increase production efficiency, new product introduction, COPQ, Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), coordinating lean activities, etc.

The Elyria site creates and assembles the pull tape that can be pre-installed into our conduits or assembled as an accessory. We are looking for an individual with a background in textile or fabric that can help implement and innovate best weaving manufacturing practices for our tape accessories: https://www.duraline.com/accessories/bull-line-pull-tape/

What else can help you succeed in this role? 

You must be technology savvy so you can automate and digitalize projects and standard work, and be proficient with Microsoft Office, and have used an ERP/CRM system, SAP/ODEN is a plus. This will also help you introduce new and cutting-edge ideas and technologies and implement best industry practices.

In this value-added role, we need a boots-on-the-ground proven leader that will engage, lead, and train teams with professionalism, confidence, and humbleness. Certification in Six Sigma and PMP is a huge plus, and we require an engineering degree and experience in AutoCAD for assembly and layouts drawings, and advanced excel is required.
