Golder has a new opportunity for a Project Electrical Engineer to join our team in a full-time position in our Elko, Nevada office.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Assist in the design of electrical power supply systems in mining, water and tailings pipeline projects
• Execute on project delivery by identifying potential problems and managing client expectations
• Prepare specifications, reports, calculations, and technical evaluations
• Support technical and project execution activities such as electrical equipment procurement packages, preparing project estimates, etc.
• Liaise with internal and external clients regularly to ensure project objectives are managed and achieved in alignment with expectations
• Undertake markups to CAD drawings while working with drafters on equipment layouts, single line diagrams, connection diagrams, grounding, conduit, etc.

Required:

• An undergraduate degree in electrical engineering
• Engineer in training license
• At least four years of relevant experience, preferably in an EPC environment
• Effective communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of all phases of engineering (conceptual stage through to detail design)
• Experience with power system analysis, grounding design and lighting design software applications

Desired:

• Previous electrical engineering experience on mining and/or water treatment projects
• Professional Engineer's licensure in Nevada or other states where Golder operates
• AutoCAD drafting experience
