Golder has a new opportunity for a Project Electrical Engineer to join our team in a full-time position in our Elko, Nevada office.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Assist in the design of electrical power supply systems in mining, water and tailings pipeline projects
Execute on project delivery by identifying potential problems and managing client expectations
Prepare specifications, reports, calculations, and technical evaluations
Support technical and project execution activities such as electrical equipment procurement packages, preparing project estimates, etc.
Liaise with internal and external clients regularly to ensure project objectives are managed and achieved in alignment with expectations
Undertake markups to CAD drawings while working with drafters on equipment layouts, single line diagrams, connection diagrams, grounding, conduit, etc.
Required:
An undergraduate degree in electrical engineering
Engineer in training license
At least four years of relevant experience, preferably in an EPC environment
Effective communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of all phases of engineering (conceptual stage through to detail design)
Experience with power system analysis, grounding design and lighting design software applications
Desired:
Previous electrical engineering experience on mining and/or water treatment projects
Professional Engineer's licensure in Nevada or other states where Golder operates
AutoCAD drafting experience
