Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Technician I to join our Health & Wellness business at our Totowa, New Jersey. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Quality function. This position will report to Quality Control Supervisor.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Handle and run samples for ICP-MS, HPLC, and/or GCMS analysis in accordance with documented test method / SOP


• Maintain clear and accurate laboratory test data


• Monitors lab equipment and supplies


• Reports and documents equipment operations, required maintenance, calibrations, and/or repairs


• Perform limited lab equipment troubleshooting


• Additional duties may be assigned, and functions may be modified according to business necessity


• Must be willing to cross train in other functional areas of the laboratory


• Follow and comply with all company safety protocols and procedures while working in a safe manner


• Work schedule will include weekends and holidays as required by the needs of the business

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree


• 2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting


• Proficient in laboratory procedures and systems, documentation procedures, equipment operations, and calibrations


• Capable and willing to cross train in other functional areas


• Experience with ICP-MS, GCMS, and HPLC

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

• Experience in regulated environment (FDA, USDA, EPA)


• Experience with LIMS and ERP systems strongly


• Quality Control laboratory setting experience
