We are searching for a Call Center Specialist to join our patient-centered Lab team in a full-time, weekends-only position. 

 

The Laboratory Call Center Specialist is responsible for providing an effective and convenient way to solve customer problems or address telephone needs through a systematic and organized flow of calls. 

 

What you will do in this role:


  • You will establish guidelines to ensure a smooth process for the customer for all facets of outpatient and inpatient services.

  • You will serve the physicians, nurses, and other Inpatient Hospital personnel by facilitating communication between them and the laboratory.

  • You will facilitate all incoming calls concerning the results retrieval process in such a manner as to provide ultimate customer satisfaction.

  • You will greet and answer customer questions with a friendly attitude and answerinquiries by clarifying issues, researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions, implementing solutions and escalating unresolved problems.

  • You will fulfill requests by clarifying desired information, completing transactions and forwarding requests.

  • You will troubleshoot all customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner. 

  • You wil document and communicate all issues immediately to Supervisor or Laboratory Manager. 

  • You will help eliminate barriers for the customer in order to provide excellent customer service to all.

Qualifications



  • Call center representative or equivalent experience




  • High School or GED required with specialty training beyond  preferred.




  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills, data entry training, ability to multi-task required. 




  • Phlebotomy, Medical Technologist or equivalent experience required.
