Summary:

This position is responsible for performing the sanitization of manufacturing areas. Maintain proper standards set forth under company policy, FDA standards and state and local agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Conduct sanitization of manufacturing areas according to the sanitization procedures including but not limited to preparing, cleaning, and sanitizing agents to maintain cleanliness, decontamination and sanitation of production areas, research areas and laboratories to meet cGMP standards.

  • Transport supplies, gowning materials and hazardous waste to assigned areas.

  • Properly document all sanitization tasks by maintaining sanitation records and logs as required.

  • Sweep and wash floors. Clean pumps and hoses.

  • Maintain an orderly cleaning chemical storage area. Wear and maintain personal protective equipment.

  • Adhere to all Company standards, policies and procedures.

  • Communicate any problems or issues of concern to management in a timely manner.

  • Demonstrate proper knowledge and skill to prevent contamination when handling hazardous waste and to prevent injuries, accidents or exposure.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

  • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned and/or necessary to maintain a clean and sanitary processing environment

Education Requirements:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training

· Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel Required:

· 0 - 24%

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
