Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Radiology is searching for full-time faculty members at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The appointee will have responsibilities including overseeing the QA/QC program in nuclear medicine with respect to regulatory compliance, ACR accreditation requirements, patient safety, image processing, and continuous image quality improvement in imaging protocols, as well as consultations in equipment purchase decisions, acceptance testing, shielding design and site planning.  The appointee is required to fulfill the physicist's role in the department radiopharmaceutical therapy program and work closely with the radiation safety office. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.  We especially seek applicants with a strong commitment to the tripartite mission of education, clinical care, and research.

Faculty members have many opportunities available to develop research interests in collaboration with our strong basic science group as well as other clinical and basic science departments throughout the campus.
