Wealth Management - Credit & Banking Product Controller

The Wealth Management business is comprised of the US and International Private Bank and JPMorgan Securities businesses. The business provides integrated wealth management services for ultra high net worth and high net worth families and individuals worldwide, overseeing more than $1 trillion of client balances across credit, deposit, investment management, capital market and trust products.

The Credit and Banking CFO team covers Wholesale Lending, Mortgage, and Deposit products for the Wealth Management business from a finance perspective. Which includes financial analytics around the profitability of these products, forecasting, and adhoc analytics to support business decisions. The Product Control team within the Credit and Banking CFO team is responsible for the integrity of all actual financial results of these products. The group works in partnership with a variety of business partners to ensure accuracy, research discrepancies, and help resolve financial reporting issues to ensure financial reporting being sent to investors is complete and accurate.

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Ownership of monthly financial and MIS close process as it relates to Wealth Management Deposit and Credit products. This includes developing the current month actual revenues, overseeing the timely reporting of all monthly financial information, monitoring financial activity throughout the month close and providing management with regular updates on monthly performance and results.
  • Report and explain variances from Outlook as actual results become available.
  • Continually evaluate and enhance the control framework to ensure monthly financials can be validated.
  • Collaborate with multiple finance departments throughout the Firm to support and accurately capture the economics associated with AWM Deposit & Credit products.
  • Continually monitor and assess department deliverables to develop and implement more efficient procedures, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Consistently look to standardize best practices across LOBs through proactive communication and process re-engineering.
  • Assist in responding to inquiries regarding financial results and various ad hoc requests.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years Accounting and Finance experience
  • Experience in leading a team a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of finance and accounting concepts
  • Experience with Deposits, Lending and mortgage systems and data flow a plus
  • Extensive Excel and Access knowledge; working knowledge of Hyperion a plus
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and has ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly
  • Must be able to work in a team environment while maintaining control with limited supervision
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a focus on business issues
