Responsible for implementing channel strategies for the First Aid product portfolio with our largest retailers to grow Medline's retail business. Collaborate with brand and sales teams to develop customer-specific product initiatives, promotions plans, and pricing strategies to grow sales and profitability. Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the packaging commercialization team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement and optimize channel strategies to grow Medline's retail business.
Act as the internal "channel expert" across retail channels such as Mass Merchandising, Drug, and Food and represents the voice of the channel to the brand, sales, and product management teams.
Provide ongoing oversight and management of customer-specific product and packaging commercialization through management of commercialization team.
Collaborate with brand team and product management teams to develop customer-specific product initiatives and identify competitive activity.
Develop customer-specific product initiatives and pricing strategies to grow sales and profitability.
Prioritize category opportunities, product priorities, and price strategies for key sales channels.
Works directly with the sales organization in developing line reviews and leading the bid process with customers, collaborating closely with brand teams to achieve key objectives.
Conduct analysis to evaluate channel performance and identify growth opportunities. Share insights with stakeholders and recommend actions for improvement.
Management responsibilities include: --Typically oversees professional employees/teams OR typically manages non-professional employees through Supervisors in manufacturing, distribution or office environments --Day-to-day operations of a group of employees. --May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact; --Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops. --Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies. --Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning. --Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field.
Work Experience
At least 4 years of Retail Channel Marketing or Customer Marketing experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within, and external to, an organization.
Experience leveraging channel and shopping insights, market trends, and analytical tools.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
Experience with MS Office Suite.
