The Director of Architectural, Civil and Structural Engineering in collaboration with the Vice President of engineering, is responsible to lead the technical innovation and design for the beer divisions ACS designs. This position is responsible for working with external engineers to ensure designs meet the operation needs of Constellation Brands, meet defined US and Mexico building codes, and provide safe long-lasting structures.
Responsibilities
Proven technical capabilities in all areas of Architectural, Civil and Structural engineering. (Emphasis in Structural required)
Excellent communication skills with all levels of the management team
Collaborates well both internally and externally
Intermediate level of knowledge in drafting and CADD systems
Developing and following design standards and policies & procedures
Participate with CAPEX justifications and approvals
Generating design concepts and managing external design firms to achieve goals
Maintain CBI's Standards of designs, material records and enforce compliance
Manage cash flow and cost of ACS projects
Develop and manage internal/external schedules to meet company goals
Steward CBI´s safety philosophy
Project funding, cash flow management, change order signature, authority direct, and allocation of work
Establish and implement business strategy with a long-term focus (4 or 5 years typically) based on the organizational vision
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or Higher in Engineering
Professional Structural Engineering Degree (P.E.)
Design projects (Building information modeling knowledge); PMI (Project management institute knowledge); Lean construction knowledge; Last planner system knowledge; Leed project knowledge; ISO_9000 certification knowledge
15 years on Design projects (Codes, detailing); 10 years on PMI design projects (Schedule, critical pad); 10 years on International projects (Multicultural); 5 year on BIM / Revit project.
Collaborative, good leader, self-starter, and flexible.
Willing and able to travel to US and Mexico greater than 50%
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual English- Spanish a plus
Master’s degree in engineering or related field
