Vice President, Research & Development

The VP of Research & Development (VP R&D) plays a pivotal role in the future of the company. As the VP R&D you will be a hybrid technical, business, and people mentor. You will have overall responsibility for product management, documentation, software development, QA and dev-ops.

 This position can be located anywhere in North America, with preference given for locations near a current Harris office.

 

The Technical Visionary

• Provide an overall vision for product and technical roadmap


• Drive best practices for all R&D processes including: product delivery, rollout, feedback and internal/external communication


• Drive initiatives and solutions for the product and technical teams.

• Work with existing teams/structure


• Build, listen to, and develop effective teams/team members

What you will contribute:

• Support and grow the product development team


• Take part in product planning and task assignment


• Own the product roadmap and communicate with all stakeholders


• Steer product management committees to assess product mix and marketing strategy


• Collaborate on strategic marketing plans for each product or product lines


• Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and definitive action


• Directly and indirectly guide and support a team of 50
   

What we are looking for:

• 10+ years of management experience


• Experience with SDLC/ coding best practices
   

What will make you stand out:

• Certified Scrum Product Owner


• PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner


• Experience leading ERP/Financial product teams


• Experience with on-premise to cloud migration projects


• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
